FP 26 Powerful Understanding

The Relationship of a Lifetime

It all starts here. Jesus said, "And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is." Ephesians 3:18

As we trust in Jesus, He does a wonderful work in our hearts and we begin to get a small glimpse of His wide, long, high, and deep love. What we must remember is this: His love was not merely spoken, it was revealed by His actions. The Cross was proof that what He'd said, was true. Since we see it and experience it, we respond to it with open hearts and full gratitude.

That's what happens in our relationships when we "show" our love instead of just "talk" about our love. In acts of kindness, forgiveness, change of heart, and complete restoration, we experience and feel the effects of real abiding love. That is a powerful understanding.

Children, you show love for others by truly helping them, and not merely by talking about it. 1 John 3:18 (CEV)

Until Tomorrow,

Pastor Steve

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:16-19 (NLT)
